Why Doesn’t My /chat Agent Show Up in My Agents List — and Can I Share It With a Teammate?

Last updated: May 14, 2026

Your /chat agent is a personal AI assistant Gumloop auto-provisions for every user, scoped to your own credentials. It's intentionally separate from your custom agents list — it won't appear there, and it can't be shared. Your teammate already has their own /chat on their account.

For a full side-by-side breakdown of the two, see What's the Difference Between /chat and a Custom Agent?

Symptoms

  • You have an agent you access via /chat, but it doesn't appear in your Agents list.

  • It doesn't show up in your team dashboard either.

  • There's no Share button when you're using it.

Cause

The /chat agent is tied to your personal credentials and connected integrations, so Gumloop intentionally keeps it separate from the custom agents list. Sharing it would point another person at your private credentials.

What to Do Instead

Your teammate already has their own /chat

Every Gumloop user gets their own /chat agent automatically. Your teammate can open /chat from their own account and it will use their own connected integrations. No setup needed.

To share a purpose-built agent, create a custom agent

  1. Go to Agents and click Create.

  2. Add the tools, instructions, and skills you need.

  3. Click Share in the top right and add your teammate by email, or share with your team.

Custom agents support four sharing roles: Owner, Editor, Viewer, and Use Only. See Share Permissions for details.

If you've already built a custom agent and your teammate can't see it

  1. Open the agent from your Agents list.

  2. Click Share in the top right and confirm your teammate is listed with the right role, or add them by email.

  3. If the agent lives in a team space, your teammate should see it automatically in their Team section in the sidebar.
